The mission of the Shri Jawahar Lal Trust is to foster a healthier, more sustainable, and socially responsible community in Prayagraj and surrounding areas through proactive engagement in environmental conservation, public health, sanitation, and community support. Shri Jawahar Lal Trust is a community-focused organization based in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, dedicated to social and environmental initiatives.

What We Do

— Tree Plantation Drives
The trust organizes large-scale tree plantation campaigns across multiple villages. A notable initiative encourages planting trees “in the name of the mother” to promote environmentalism alongside family values.

— Environmental Awareness
They conduct awareness campaigns to educate the public on environmental protection, sometimes using traditional methods like folk songs to convey the message effectively.

— Water Conservation
The organization runs programs to raise awareness about water scarcity, the importance of saving groundwater, and the need for responsible water usage.

— Cleanliness Campaigns
Members lead and participate in cleanliness drives, such as cleaning the bathing ghats at the Sangam to help reduce pollution in the Ganga river.

— Support for Pilgrims
The trust provides assistance to religious pilgrims, including organizing camps to distribute free refreshments, fruit, and water to ‘Kanwariyas’ on their journey.

— Health & Education Awareness
In partnership with local establishments like Prabha Hospital, the trust conducts health and education awareness campaigns for the community.
